What is it with DIETING?

I have learned a long time ago to get rid of that word "DIET" from our vocabulary. As my favorite fitness person has stated: "The word diet is a four letter word and if you split it up, you have a two syllable word! "DIE - IT." No one wants to die, so I agree with Richard Simmons, that we need to get rid of that word and just make it a lifestyle change. That is what I have done! Two years ago, I got married, then I was laid off. I took a good look at myself and said, I am not going to feel sorry myself any more. I need to compete with everyone else out looking for work, so I began going to the gym. I spent some eight hours a day in the gym. I studied hard, and I succeeded at losing 40-pounds and becoming a certified personal trainer. Yes, I am still working on losing more weight, but I lost the majority of it. The weight that brought me down and got me to feel so lifeless and tired all of the time.
Now, I have tons of energy. I walk all the time and go hiking now and on occasion, I go for a light jog.
If I can it, anyone can do it! Losing weight is not difficult! It is a mindset!
