Well, I sent a lot of time yesterday on the phone regarding the DSL. The lineman called me yesterday morning to tell me that he had made some changes in my connections and I needed to call the support number and have them resink my system. Well, I called and of course, there was no telling them what needed to be done. I had to go through all the same routine over again with the system. I finally told the lady that if she would check my records she would see all that had been done, but no, her system was down and she would not believe me. She kept telling me that this problem had not been reported before. She wanted me to move the hook up to another phone jack. I thought Hubby as going to roll in the floor watching me. I was becoming furious. She just would not accept the fact that I had done all this. Finally she said well you said you have another phone jack and I want you to hook up to it. I tried to explain to do that, I had to move my entire set up into another room and pull furniture out to get to it. It was like okay do it. I finally said no.

After about an hour she called the higher tech support and they informed her that I had an ongoing problem and they were aware of it. Finally she insisted that she send another tech to my house to check my lines again. I told her that had been done. But she sat up an appointment for me. I told her I would have to know what time they were coming as I had things scheduled and would she like to know when would not be available. No she put me on hold......She could find that hold button when I was trying to communicate. Hubby took the phone to hold while I was getting my make up on and getting dressed as we needed to leave the house. I heard him say, I do not believe that she will be home at that time. She must have told him something as his next remark was she was trying to tell you when she would not be home, but you put her on hold. Another 5 minutes later she came back with a time for late today.

When I hung up, I was so frustrated. Hubby knew he was getting to me as he was laughing about it. I told him, fine I wanted him to stay home and deal with these situations. I end up having to handle all service problems in out house. I did just walk out on him when the refrigerator died and told him oh No.......I will not deal with males coming into my house and treating me like I am dumb because I am a female. I will not deal with auto mechanics either for the same reason. They seem to treat females as thought they have no knowledge and I can usually tell them what is wrong with my auto before they even check it. So Hubby has to be in charge of all auto repairs. The last time I had a repair, his remark to the mechanic was well that was my wife's diagnoses also.

We left and I called the local lineman back to tell him what the results was and that we are starting over by them sending a field guy out to check the wiring in my house. He told me he was a long way from my area and did I explain to the people what needed to be done. I told him I did and that I wanted to conference them with him, but they would not do that.

About an hour later he called me to tell me he had made some phone calls locally and he thinks he has all the problems taken care of would I check my service and see if working. It was and has been working since. I call ed him this morning to thank him for all the time he had put into my problem. His remark was do not lose my number so you can call if there are any more incidents and we can start there.

The service tech set up for this afternoon called me this morning to come earlier. I informed him that the local guy had everything taken care of and they could not give me a number to reach him if anything changed. He told me that he was looking at all the reports on my problem and did nut understand why he was coming out to check the wiring as it was already done on Monday. But he was going to do it anyway.

I am really happy that the local lineman is such a nice guy and was willing to follow through for me on this mess.

Miss Coco and I have ben chilling it this afternoon and we are talking about going to bed early tonight.
