Today, officially my daughter is a registered nurse. She took her state board test on Monday. The night before she took the exam, she was not able to sleep at all, so she took the exam with no sleep, and no caffeine. I know that God was with her, because I don't understand how she could have done so well, with no rest. We had traveled over 100 miles to the exam location and stayed over night. She did all the driving, I was the passenger.

This has been a long, hard journey for her. She is married, has 3 sons, just turned 7, 13, & 16. She had gone to college for 3 years prior to getting married. But she had to take required subjects to enroll in RN training. All total, she has been in school for the last 3 years. She went many nights without sleep, right into her classes. Many times I was worried about her health and about driving. I did lots of praying. So often she was exhausted, but she managed to make 4.0 in all her RN classes. She also managed to take care of her family. Of course, I helped her out through it all. It was hard work for me as well. But all of it turned out very well.

She already has a job at a hospital in ICU, close to where she lives. She is really a happy nurse today and all of her family is rejoicing and happy for her. We give God the glory & honor for helping her to succeed. He was with her through all the hard times she went through, helping her to survive it all.

I am a very happy and proud Mom today!!!

Congrats to both of you!!! You helped make your baby girl what she is today --- a hard working RN in a complicated world of CCHIT and HIPAA and too many acronyms to name! God bless you both! Allow yourself to be proud of yourself in addition to your daughter. This ... is an accomplishment! A milestone unmeasured by streaks... I give you 10000 virtual points. Proud to be your spark friend! Take care of you and yours. - Pam

Well that story gave me happy goose bumps...remembering my own journey to becoming and RN. I had been and LPN for 21 long ago....and now an RN for 21 years. WHERE DOES time go? She is really blessed to have a job already! Hope all goes so well for her. emoticon

Congratulations to the both of you. I personally know how difficult it is to go back to nursing school as a "mature adult"....much more challenging than as a young student with no other responsibilities. My hat is off to the both of you...I could not have done it with my family's support.

WOW! I can imagine your pride in your daughter! How great the power of LOVE!
It is so awesome how we start out with just a small bundle of love and they grow into these amazing young adults that we are so proud to shout to the world all their accomplishments! emoticon
Shout on my friend! I am so proud for you, your daughter and your entire family! emoticon
I know she deserves the credit for her grades, but you also deserve so much credit! I know how much a Mother has to sacrifice to raise children. Not that we would change a single second.
God Bless you and your daughter my friend!

May the Lord always guide her in her work!
