I've had hot oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, milk and brown sugar nearly every morning for years and then waited until later to workout. This spring, I switched from a coffee maker to a Mukka pot www0.epinions.com/review
, and my morning latte tides me over through the morning paper, email check & workout. Then I have my oatmeal. A couple of weeks ago, I ran out of brown sugar (I was feeling guilty about eating the processed stuff anyway), so I tried some honey. It tasted "different" but I ate it and went about my day. Suddenly I noticed it was 5 p.m. and I hadn't stopped for my afternoon coffee & snack.....I never got even a little bit hungry. hmmmm That continued until I got to the store and restocked the sugar. Wouldn't you know, the afternoon crash came right back? I switched back to the honey right away. I'm really surprised to see how much more energy I have without the sugar. I really can't believe it.
