broken bench

Sunday, June 13, 2010

ok soooo my Hubby and I were outside looking at the trim he had started painting. We have this bench my bil built a few years ago. It has been sitting outside untreated for all this time. Have used it for decoration but today.............
Well Hubby sat down on it so I decided I would join him!!! lol I said to him as I'm sitting down so gingerly is this going to hold us both? Oh yeah he says!!!
Famous last words. LOL Well we weren't sitting very long at all when crash!!!!!! Yup you guessed it the front boards broke away and down we went at an angle since the back boards were still in place! lol I was in shock and just sat there. It didn't take long for hubby to move as the boards pinched him in the butt on his way down!!! lmao
It is funny thinking back on it but at the time the jolt of going down did my body no good at all.
I have a back fusion and a slight bulging disc below the fusion! That was sore right away but I'll live! lol Yes only to us would that happen! hahahahahahahahaha

I'm so glad you weren't really injured - b/c I couldn't help myself, I'd laugh anyway and I'd feel so bad. I just knew when I saw the blog title, what was coming. Oh my, I'm glad you're able to laugh about it.

Oh my-thank goodness you were not hurt....I have had a back fusion too and any time I fall I am scared to death that I have hurt my back and done something to mess things up. I am sure you were worried too. But Praise the Lord that you are ok and can laugh at things now....
