I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised with my weight loss total for this week - 3.4 pounds! I must say it was certainly encouraging after last week was less than a pound. I wasn't too discouraged, because the week prior to that was also around 3 pounds.
It's official. I have now dropped below 230! At 54.4 pounds lost so far, I am inching ever closer to 60 gone. It's going to be here soon. Halfway point (77 lbs) here I come!!!
In recent weeks, I have increased my fitness activity...largely due to the Summer 5% Challenge I'm participating in. Today I bought my first pair of dumbbells. I work out at home, and have no weight equipment at all. I really need to focus more attention on my triceps now. I've lost weight in my arms, and now when I hold them up, there is that jiggly hanging part. That has GOT to go!! So my upper body strength training days will be changing.
Until the last few weeks, I had been checking my blood pressure regularly...even bought a home monitor. It worked great until one of the cats got their claws into the tube that goes from the unit to the cuff. I found out where to order a replacement cuff...I just keep forgetting to order. It's not happening tonight either. I'm heading to bed!
Anyway, when I was at Wal-Mart today, I used the machine in the store. I am pleased to announce that my arm now fits all the way into the cuff and my forearm lays down on the table the way it is supposed to. Woo hoo!! AND...my BP was 118/67, with a resting pulse of 59. Double woo-hoo!! High blood pressure? Yeah, right! Not having it!!
Can you say, "psyched?"
