I get a lot of messages from people who find themselves off the Yellow Brick Road, and as a result, feel sad and dejected. Slipping is just part of the wellness journey when it comes to weight loss, and the difference between those who ultimately succeed and those who continue to struggle lies in how they handle these slips.

If this sounds like you today, I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t need to last. This feeling of “sadness” that you are experiencing is the result of the thoughts you are thinking. Now I know I’m not going to get the Nobel Prize for that revelation but I think it’s important that it be said. You see, as bad as this situation may seem at the moment, this is where you have the opportunity to inject real change into your world.

Ok, so maybe you slipped yesterday. I wish you hadn’t but the reality is that you did. If you can pick yourself up today with new resolve, I say there is also cause for celebration. Don’t let all the good you’ve done thus far be erased by one bad day. You are too precious to make that leap. Change is difficult as it doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t occur without a fight. The only way you lose is if you throw in the towel. What a mistake that would be. The world can be a very brutal place at times and it tests us all. We all have our battle scars. So just pick yourself up and get back in this race. Make it happen. You are worth the effort.

Wishing You Great Health
