Sleep-typing and rambling

Yesterday was a fabulous day! I watched my 10-year-old nephew earn his blackbelt in Tae-kwon-do(forgive the spelling) and we had a great family celebration. I'm so proud of him. It is not easy to earn a blackbelt. I'm kind of sleep-typing today. My daughter left this morning at about 1:30am for a 17-day trip to Europe. I didn't want to miss seeing her leave and I'm lousy at sleeping in, so today I will sleepwalk and hopefully go to bed early. I am going to have an empty nest until she comes back. It feels strange and still hasn't sunken in. Right now she is on her way to New York, at 4pm (EST) she will fly to Frankfurt and then she will fly to Amsterdam. She will actually arrive in Amsterdam tomorrow. Long flight. She will start out on a group tour and then will go to Disneyland in Paris then off to Germany with a friend. This is her first trip away for more than a few days. I can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures on Facebook. More later, it's time for breakfast.
