5-mile Training Recap: Week 2

Cross-training: Paddleboating with hubby & kids for 30 minutes: burned approx 160 calories.
Spent the day strolling around with my family and some friends at May Fair in Allentown, PA. The YMCA was closed for Memorial Day holiday, so no strength training today.
Ran 3.1 miles with hubby. Total time was 35:59 at an average 7'13km pace.
1km- 7'26 pace
2km- 9'01 pace (not sure what happened there)
3km- 8'06 pace
4km- 8'07 pace
5km- 8'00 pace

Ran 3.1 miles with hubby. Total time was 37:14 at an average 7'27km pace.

Worked a double at the restaurant (I'm sure that counts for something, right?)
Had a school function for my daughter from 9-3:30 and worked dinner from 5:00-11:00.
Ran 4 miles for long-run with hubby. We ran at a section of Fairmount Park called Forbidden Drive (where the 5-mile run we are doing on July 31st is being held). Our total time was 46:24, which is an average pace of 11:36/mile. It was already 80-ish degrees at 9:00am, so we figured no time like the present. We aimed for a comfortable pace with a goal of finishing without feeling like we wanted to die. I think we mostly accomplished that.
