Oh what a week!

No clever blog title today. I'm exhausted. This week was definitely trying, why are holiday weeks like that?! Ugh!
We had a lot of issues at work this week...cooler going down, register breaking, blender breaking, second blender breaking, overflows, coffee in the toaster, no cinnamon rolls, sloooooow today, blahblahblah. Plus with the register going down, we had to open later, so I went in later then normal meaning that in addition with no pay for memorial day, my check will be even shorter. Boo on that, but I'm saavy and we have plenty of savings and my ladys paycheck.
Home is good for the most part. One roommate lost his job over some serious BS. Sooooo he has been home ALLLLL freakin week giving me no alone time. Boo on that. Its nice to be able to spend some qt with him. He used to work such crazy hours. The OTHER roommate has a new girlfriend. Its been....interesting.....
This week has been pretty great. I decided after making my goals for the week that I was really just being unrealistic. I was trying to change too much at once.
I JUST got my gym membership

Water is a hard thing to get in during my hectic day
I decided against going to the gym this week. I wanted to see if I could get my eating under control and my water in. I've stayed in my calories this week, gotten in my freggies, and most of my water. More importantly, I ate breakfast everyday. I hate that when I eat breakfast my appetite goes through the roof. I know its supposed to be normal that you are hungry every 2-3 hours, but lord, those hours go by quick. I'm finding that I'm never getting enough carbs or quite enough protein. I need to find carbs that are low in fat! haha. I'm feeling pretty good about my food habits this week for sure. I neeeed to get in a little more water. I'm just sooooo busy at work the entire time I'm there. Its foodservice so I cant be like "please wait a moment while I drink my water" haha.
I've been really good about being conscious of what I put in my mouth. Normally if I wanted something I'd just get it without much of a second thought. This week I've been drinking water and waiting, then if I'm still feeling hungry I'll eat some fruit and veggies and drink more water. Its helping me realize exactly when I'm hungry and when I'm not.
As a result I lost a pound this week! I consider that a success since I didn't go to the gym at all. I think I'm going to incorporate the gym stuff next week. I think I'm going to try for 3 days a week. If I go more, then yay me!
