Doctors visit

Friday, June 04, 2010

I wrote a previous blog about my health situation and that I was going to see a doctor because I didn't know what was wrong with me. As promised I said I would keep everyone posted. So I did see the doctor and everything is fine. He told me that some of my symptoms like my neck tension may be caused by stress. He says that my numbness can be from poor posture because I told him I sit in front of the computer at work most of the day and I may not have good support on my back and position on which I sit which can create poor blood flow. So I have changed things around my desk and asked f or a new chair to support my back. Maybe they care enough to listen. He also explained that I need more rest to help my body function through out the day. They did blood work, cholesterol screening and everything came out positive. So in a nut shell I am not as risk of a stroke thank God and my health is fine.

I have been going through some things at work but I tend to keep most of my feeling inside not letting anyone know anything. I think it's because I try to be strong for everybody else and I think stressing out shows a sign of weakness.

So that's it for me and now I think I better put some effort in eating right and exercising more.

Enjoy your day everyone and thanks for your concern, support and a special thanks for listening.

Good news!!! Thanks for sharing. Glad there is nothing physical wrong....also glad you went to the doctor and got checked out. It can be so scary not knowing!

Now work on that stress level!!! I hear you about the resting. I am trying to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Seems like after 7 I am waking up, so 7 must be sufficient. I am retired so it is easier to do than when you have a family and a job.

Blessings to you on making this work!! emoticon emoticon

I am glad that everything came out OK. Try to release the stress in doing exercising. I know that it helps me, but everyone is different.

    emoticon & good luck.

I too sit in front of a computer all day without proper support, but what I try to do is to get up and stretch, walk throughout to provide sluggishness (if that's a word...lol) and any possible back or neck pains. I wish you much success on your journey and congrats on all your success this far! :)

Great to hear that things are good! I'm glad you took care of yourself. If you have an opportunity, read TRW410's blog entry Coming to believe "I matter!" She sums up what a lot of us do, take care of others before we take care of ourselves. I got good new yesterday also. Please visit my blog for today.

Take care and I hope you continue taking care of yourself.

I am glad that its only stress but you do know that stress can be a KILLER! So you need to some be vulnerable & share your own concerns cause that's what I would do be strong for everyone else too. Now I have hypertension. Well I can lose weight & reduce sodium but relieving the stress is another story. I praying peace upon you today & that you try as much as possible to relax. God bless & TGIF!
