National Bowling Tourney

The days leading up to the travel were stressful. Several people were on vacation so work was piling up. I worked everyday for at least 2 hours even though it was vacation/holiday. Don't like having this type of job but that's a complaint for another day.
I actually stuck to my workout program for the entire week leading up to my flight. I was so glad when I received my team shirt because it was mis-sized, not in my favor. The shirt was so binding. I was glad that I had been working out consistently for the past month because I wouldn't have been able to fit in my shirt! Another lady on our team couldn't fit in her shirt at all so I know I wasn't the only one with issues.
I hate leaving my dog but she was left in good hands. We left for the airport without any issues which is a miracle for me and DH, even had time for a breakfast run :)
No issues on the trip out. Arrived with companion team members and had a wonderful time. We did some sightseeing before the tourney.
Monday was team event. I didn't bowl very well for team. Must have been the uncomfortable shirt hahaha. I couldn't wear my knee brace either.
Tuesday was the hardest. Very early morning start which I don't mind but I knew my team members didn't like. We had to bowl 6 games straight with no meals/snacks allowed. I was able to wear my brace that day. My clothing was not hindering me either. I had an awesome doubles event with my Mom as my partner. Singles was good too. So I only struggled during team event. Again, it had to be the shirt.
I missed my aerobic, cardio type workouts but I wasn't inactive on the trip. We walked a great deal. I wore my ShapeUps to keep my legs stretched and body properly aligned. Those are wonderful shoes. And we bowled 2 days for at least 3 hours. Again, not aerobic but its movement.
It was a great tournament event and we had fun. The team is excited about next year's event as well. We will visit NY next year. It sure is great to be home! Back to my workout schedule!
