~ Welcoming June

Ever have one of those weeks you just know was some kind of test of patience? Yep, me too, and am happy to report I survived with flying colors!

The last couple of months have been a great lesson to me in maintaining my weight loss. I think part of me was actually scared not to track food anymore and what I found out was how much I learned from tracking food. I know what a portion size looks like; I know how many calories are in an ounce of cheese. I have been able to make common sense choices without gaining a single pound!

That being said, I miss being a loser! *lol* So, June is my jump back on the weight loss bandwagon. I am down to my last twelve pounds now so if I can lose three or four pounds during June I will be tickled pink with myself.

The plan is the one I started back in October, lots of water, fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean protein. It is basically what I eat now just a little less of it while stepping up the work outs a notch. I need to cut out a cookie or two as well! Eep!

I have loved walking the hills around here lately. What a great metaphor for life...don't look too far ahead, just keep trucking along and you will get there!
