Working my way back

For those of you who read my last blog post, I changed my time frame and weight loss goal. I added a year to my time line and brought my goal to 148, which, while not exactly svelte for my height, is, I believe, realistic. It has got to be much better for my health to move ever closer to that goal than to stay where I am.
When I reach that goal I might re-evaluate, but it's certainly less than I've weighed for years.
I talked about confronting my tendency to avoid taking credit for my progress and accomplishments, so this is a first step. When I looked at the ticker in its current form, I noticed that, in fact, I'm not quite one quarter of the the way to my real goal, which is further than I thought I would be.
So, I've started thinking about what I'll do to celebrate that milestone. I'm leaning toward buying some article of clothing because some items in my closet actually are getting a bit too big and could use replacement. Another possibility is a fitness video.
On the health front, I'm finished with my course of antibiotics. still need to recuperate. I'm still easily tired and my digestion is not completely dependable. I've been working my way back to eating a larger variety of foods and getting back up to the lower end of my calorie range. This will not be a quick process because my stomach and intestines took quite a hit and I want to try small amounts of the more challenging foods so that I'm sure I can tolerate them.
I'm also having to take it slowly with regard to getting back to exercise. I've been doing a little strengthening exercise and a few minutes at a time of the walking DVDs, when I can manage it.
Unfortunately, when I weighed in, I'm exactly the same weight as three weeks ago. I realize, from my reading here and elsewhere, that sometimes eating two few calories can slow down weight loss, but I can only go as fast and far as I can at the moment, so I'll just have to wait for it.
My priority is to get back to being healthy.
