C25K W8D2... & Food Blog

Last night was C25K W8D2... but dumb me decided that I was sick of waiting for it to cool down and headed out at 6pm for my run. It was still over 95 degrees outside but I wanted to give it a try. HOLY COW WAS IT HOT!!! I ended up running 1.5 miles and then walking the last 1.5 miles back home. I stopped not because I physically could not run anymore, I stopped because it was too hot outside and I did not want to over do it and get heat stroke. I was sweating so bad that I could not see because it was in my eyes. It was miserable.

So I learned a valuable lesson. I am going to wait until at least 8pm this summer when I run outside so that I make sure the temperature has dropped some from the day's high. This way I can still enjoy the outdoors and do my cardio, but I will not be harming myself.

Today I am going to Zumba and taking my fiancé's sister for the first time. I hope she likes it as much as I am. It is always nice to have more people to share these experiences with!!!

I ate really well yesterday too. Hopefully today will be the same. I have a solid menu planned for the day so we will see how it goes...

Today's Menu:

Breakfast:
1/2 Thomas' Plain Bagel w/ 1.2 tbsp. of Margarine
4 Slices of Fresh Cantaloupe
1 Serving Hot Coffee with Milk and Sugar
1 Slimquick Very Berry Powdered Drink Mix w/ 20 oz. on Water
289 Calories/ 7g of Fat/ 52g of Carbs/ 7g of Protein

Lunch:
Lean Cuisine Stuffed Cheese Rigatoni (Have not gone shopping in a while and have nothing else to prepare emoticon)
230 Calories/ 6g of Fat/ 32 g of Carbs/ 13g of Protein

Dinner:
1 Cup of Fresh Spinach and Romaine Lettuce Salad with 1/4 cup Fresh Strawberries, 3 oz of Chicken, 1/4 cup Walnuts, and 2 tbsp. Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
382 Calories/ 29f of Fat/ 8g of Carbs/ 24g of Protein

Snacks:
2 Tbsp. of Garlic Hummus w/ 10 Raw baby Carrots
1 Slimquick Very Berry Powdered Drink Mix w/ 20 oz. of Water
113 Calories/ 3g of Fat/ 22g of Carbs/ 4g of Protein

Total for Day:
1,015 Calories
45g of Fat
114 g of Carbs
48g of Protein
.... I am on the low-end of all of my ranges today. But I full, satisfied, & happy. I am still trying to make-up for a very poor past weekend.
