Another Great Day

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Can you believe two great days in a row???? Ok, minus all of the meds I have taken for my head, lol. Today I decided to go get my hair cut. It was over half way down my back when it was wet, and now it is at my jawline. It is a big difference. I haven't told my friends. I can't wait to see them. emoticon My husband brought up a great point. I should have done the Locks of Love. I think that is what it is called, when you cut your hair and donate it to make wigs for people that have cancer. I am going to have to look the program up and maybe do it next time.

My hubby and I also went grocery shopping for his "new food of the week." Starting tomorrow he can add some fish, seafood, and nuts to his diet. He is so excited. I really don't like seafood except for small fried shrimp, imitation devil crab, fried clams, and snow crab legs. Notice all of the fried stuff, lol. He can't have fried anything from now on. I promised him I would learn to cook seafood, which I have never done (except for fried shrimp) and I would always try to eat it. I guess I am going to learn to love it. The bad part is his seafood right now can't have much of anything on it which is a bummer. Like I told him, this isn't forever. emoticon I had found a recipe up here for Pecan coated Salmon that called for pecans and mustard. I know it doesn't sound good, but the recipe sounded great. I was so excited I was going to make it for him tomorrow, but he decided he didn't want to try something as spicy as mustard just yet. Maybe, I will be able to find a recipe with just plain seasonings. emoticon If anyone has any kind of "plan jane" recipes for: salmon, talapia, tuna steaks, shrimp, and scallops, please share with this girl. emoticon I think the next few days are going to challenge my cooking ability. It is all worth it for my hubby. emoticon

I hope everyone had a great day like I did. emoticon

My headaches are about the same, but I will wait a few more days to say for sure if it helps our not. I am glad it helped your friend. It is wonderful that she found relief. emoticon emoticon

Hey, this might sound silly, but have your migraines improved since your got your hair cut? Some people who have "heavy" hair are more sensitive to the weight of it putting pressure on the nerves, and it can contribute to headaches. Another of my Spark Pals had long, thick curly hair, and since she got a short haircut, she hasn't had another bad migraine attack. Maybe your new "do" will help!

If you cook the fish in the oven how long do you cook it for and at what temperature? See, my cooking abilities of seafood are not hitting on a whole lot, lol. Thank you for the Pam and aluminum foil advice. emoticon Today I am cooking Tuna Steaks. emoticon

Instead of using mustard try pam and a little lemon juice. I really like to cook fish in alunmum foil. I spray foil with pam add fish with a spritz of lemon and my veggies. There is no mess to clean up afterwards Fish and veggies come out flaky and crisp veggies. You can do this with any meats or just veggies, even on the grill. Yellow mustard will not be as spicy as the deli mustard.
Hope DH really gets to enjoy his new foods. Remind him to chew alot. emoticon
