I define myself by what I'm NOT.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

I've been described by many terms over the years--many of them perjorative and more than a few so colorful that I can't use them on Spark. I'm okay with a lot of the descriptors, wish some of them weren't quite so true, and just roll my eyes at some things said by people who don't really know me.

Of all the terms that people have used to describe me, though, the one that I'm proudest of is the one that ISN'T used. No one in his right mind seriously calls me a bimbo.

Remember Murphy Brown and her political incorrectness show? I am usually called a dork and I am proud of it. It probably is a good thing I don't know what it means.

My point of pride is that NO ONE has called me a bimbo. Ever.

Well, aside from the fact that bimbo is not exactly a word in "common" use now...

Bee, someone called you a bimbo?
Please refer to the background pic of my spark page.
Give me a name and address. I'll LITERALLY kick his (or her) a$$ for you! I'll even let you hold them down!!!

There is a bread in Mexico (which we can see from our front porch) with a little bear on it called Bimbo. We have that sign up in our kitchen. Neither of us are bimbos, either, but I embrace all perjoratives tossed out at women. Those mean little words usually just mean you are not playing someone else's game.
Happily shared by redfrog the bitchdykebimbopissantgeeekycreep, menace-at-large. Oh, and Ms. Bee, what you are is pretty amazing, evaluating from your posts.

I've never been called a bimbo either! I used to get called a raging man-whore a lot, but never bimbo! And it's been a long time since I got called anything but a cold-hearted person of questionable parentage. I actually quite enjoy that one!

Hope that you're having a great day!
