The End Times, Depression, and Anger

Friday, May 21, 2010

For those who don't know me - I'm an atheist.

I don't believe there is a better world after this. Jeebus is not going to save me, I'm not going to get my own planet, and I'm not leaving on a spaceship.

The environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is driving me to distraction.

As a reasoning human, I try to understand WHY this happened.

The last decade has shown us - unless you're completely in a fog - that the powers that be in this world will stop at NOTHING to make money, and the hell with the rest of us. Oil and Banking - greedy, lascivious, obscene bed partners.

2. RELIGIOUS HATRED. Dubya started the war to defend his Christian Daddy. Oh, and there was OIL involved. And GREED.

3. FAR TOO EFFICIENT REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEMS. There are too many people on this planet. War and disease are no longer efficient checks on the system. We immunize and control against diseases. Yet, birth control is considered illegal, immoral, etc.

Our planet is overwhelmed by humans. Yet, for an economy to survive, it has to have an influx of workers who will work for low wages. It doesn't matter if you're China or the US or Japan.

The environmental disaster in the Gulf is unfathomable. Watch the 60 Minutes story if you haven't already.

Greed, greed, and territorial pissing.

A few guys in a pissing match, some guys who were too greedy to check out the situation in full, and the end of the Gulf and the Florida Keys Reefs.

I'd personally like to tear out the livers of all of them.

The world angers me a great deal too but I also know through the bible prophecies that the bad that goes on in this world will only come to an end through God, and if you read the bible you will see that all this crime and earth destruction is prophesied, so therefore if God says suffering will happen and it is.. then when God says suffering will end, then it will. Have faith, even though it is hard. Lack of knowledge in Gods word and faith, leads us only to destruction.

I saw this on FB last night, it makes me wonder why America is
not moving to do anything to protect the Gulf of Mexico.

Interesting thought: In Revelation (The Bible) it Does discuss that toward the end of time the Oceans will be thick as mud and all the sea life will be gone.Humm looks like we are right on schedule.

Great post! You're absolutely right about greed! It's what makes the world go 'round, or it seems to to me anyway. If everyone could do the best for ourselves, our neighbors and our communities without being cajoled and/or forced into it we wouldn't need any laws (not that there are really too many laws that the rich or rich corporations have to really follow)!

A lot of us feeling anger. And this one feels like righteous anger. This was not a natural disaster, it was the result of the greed you mentioned and something you didn't - NEGLIGENCE.

There are times when between oil in the gulf, pedophilia at even places like Hershey School, and the Arizona Immigration law (which they are now trying to duplicate in many states including this one!), and a thousand other things, I really don't know whether to storm the streets or dive under my bed.

YES!!! I couldn't agree with you more.

Greed is one helluva true evil. I often wonder who came up with the idea of money. Why is everything based on the value of a piece of paper vs the value of life?

    I just don't get it.

Thank you for sharing this blog. You are not alone in your frustration.

Sometimes I click my heels three times, close my eyes, and tell myself "at least we don't have Dubya!"

Greed is definitely the top of the EVIL SINS list for me. Being a Pagan though, my "motto" (if you will) is "for the good of all."
NOT "for the good of me"
NOT "for the good of my bank account"
NOT "for the good of my lifestyle and screw everyone else"

    My thoughts on religious wars:
Do you REALLY want to go to war over whose imaginary friend is BETTER???

What this world needs is a good old ice age.

The world does face many difficult issues. I also believe we only have one time to get it right, which is right here and right now. However, I do hope you don't let these serious matters stress you to the extent were you sabotage your journey to a healthier lifestyle. What I've learned is to focus on the things that I have control over and can change. I try to let the rest go as good as I can. No matter how upset I get or how much I worry about it, it wont change the matter. So I hope this blog made you feel better and let you release some of your anger and frustration.

From time to time I think that we are evolving and that humanity is becoming better, kinder, and more in tune with nature.

Then I read the news and I'm forced to reevaluate my optimism.

The New World Order is coming to pass. I have no doubt that the oil spill (I hate it too, Rooby) will cause all other energy prices to soar as well as oil and gasoline. If we wanted to, I think America has someone that knows of a method to cap off that rig, but we are playing a blame game and letting it go instead of doing something to stop it. Food should skyrocket in price too since we are destroying the animals there, the birds and life in the water. Think of the businesses that will have to close because their livelihood has been taken from them by this explosion and oil spill. We will have many more people without jobs.
I expect a globalization of banking and that it will be controlled by a few.
One scientist said we need to get rid of 90% of the population and said he thought the e-bola virus could do that (you bleed from all orifices). He received a standing ovation.
Such is the depravity of man, it sickens me as well.

I'm in South Florida and couldn't agree with you more. They drill so deep, for the cash and didn't plan for a solution if this went wrong? Shortcuts for more money and all at our expense, and they just don't care. I love the beach in south florida - I hope that the oil doesn't hit the east coast. I try very hard to forget the eight years of W - just makes me so mad that ignorance won - now Paul?? Tea party is scarey, let me have another cup of coffee now:) Have a great day.
