BREAKING NEWS!

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

I'm sure some of you know, my hubby has been away for 5 months... January till May, was gonna be 6 months till June. Anyway, he's been in BCT, which he graduated in March & now he's in AIT, he graduates May 28th. All for the army, which he enlisted to December of last year.

Well we found out towards the beginning of this month or end of last month (can't recall which, lol) where he'd be stationed at... BUT, I was told not to tell ANYONE (I could only tell my family) until he passed his PT (Physical Training) Test. It's been VERY hard not to spill the beans the whole time, lol I've wanted to share the news for a very long time.

This past Monday he had his PT test and as I shared in my status on that day, he PASSED! They're supposed to get at least 60 on each situps, pushups and I forget the last, well... he got 63, 64 & 70. Which is GREAT! He gave me the go ahead to share where we'd be moving to, but I wanted to make sure for how long we'd be there, long term or short term.

Well today, he shared with me, that we will be there LONG term... 4 yrs.

Do you wanna know where?????????

YOU READY FOR THIS?????

We will be moving to.....

HAWAII!!!!

YES, you read it right! HAWAII!!!!! LOL

The only downfall is, that I will be home alone ALOT probably, because he will be getting deployed a lot. To where, I have no idea, but that's what they told him today. He was doing paperwork today for me and our son for the airplane ride.

He is to be there July, 6th. So we have a little time to be here with my family and friends. Time to spend together here and also get our belongings in order and ready for the move.

Awesome! Congrats! I have a friend stationed at the army base in hawaii and they really like it a lot! Don't worry too much about being alone while hubby is deployed. The military has GREAT programs to support spouses and dependents of deployed members!!

Wow! That's awesome! I had a friend that was stationed in Hawaii (with the Navy), and that was one of my motivators to learn how to scuba dive! Now, I love to dive as often as I can. Excuse my ignorance, but which island will you be on? I hope you'll continue to keep in touch with the spark fresno group...I will miss you!
