Eating and celebrating

Monday, May 17, 2010

We managed to make a one-day graduation ceremony last for four days... Thursday to get ready and have celebratory meal at an outstanding restaurant, Friday the day of graduation - a celebration at the grads favorite's bar/bar food, Saturday - well, let's just say the 5 berry pie was too good to resist... after all I had fish for my entree. Sunday was a terrific brunch in a nearby small town. I haven't been on a scale, have done no strength training, but i did do 75 minutes of hot yoga and will do an hour tomorrow before we leave for home.
I decided I would make the best choices I could, then relax and enjoy the weekend as the wonderful celebration it was. My daughter is now J.D. (Juris Doctoris- lawyer) with an award for community service and the award for best service to clients in the law clinic. The only thing missing is a job.

Great celebration! Sounds like a wonderful plan to live your life and balance your health efforts. Congratulations on all you did to raise a daughter who is now a lawyer. You should be very proud of yourself, too! Wait 3 days of good eating before you weigh - if you can wait that long. -Marsha

You must celebrate the victories in life. Your daughter earned it and so did you. Now you get back on track.
