Settling in to a routine....I guess.

Friday, May 14, 2010

The last couple of weeks have been the toughest so far.

My body just doesn't seem like it wants to give up this weight without a fight. Or maybe it's my head. That's probably more accurate. I can be a total head case at times.

I have managed to stay on my eating plan and have exercised consistently, so that is good. I was able to fit into a pair of capris that had been my goal since I started SP in February, so that is good.

However, the scale is not being very nice to me. 3 weeks ago I lost a whopping .4 pounds and this week an incredible .2 pounds. What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get it. I increased the duration and speed on my treadmill. I have been exercising to 3 different "FIRM" workout tapes that use weights and a step box. I am working in the yard more than I have in the last few years and mowing our 1/3 acre once a week. This and keeping my calories between 1250 and 1550.

OK. I feel better now. NOT.

I know I am toner and have more energy. I am trying to focus on the positive, but a 221 pound woman is still a 221 pound woman. My "head case" brain needs to see the numbers go down.

Anyway, enough of that. Today is another day and it is absolutely beautiful outside. Back to my office and then I think I'll mow the lawn before lunch!

I could add the standard "muscle weighs more than fat" line if that helps, but I know sitting waiting for the weight to drop is frustrating. Could it be that you aren't drinking enough water and you body is trying to hold onto what you are giving it? Or maybe you are in the same boat I was. You and your fat have been together a long time, it's just having a hard time saying goodbye.

Don't give up, you will win!

I have to wonder...could you have done all of that a year ago??
I admit it totally sucks when we don't see the scale moving the way we want that's just the fact
You fitting into those capris is a huge huge success for you. Remember the goal is health and weight loss is a plus. You are most certainly incredibly healthier than you were previously.
These are the days when we need to truly and deeply look at the journey of where we were to where we are now.
