We all have 'em. The morning where you are given a short deadline and a huge amount of work to do (work that has been collecting dust on someone's desk), a person whose signature is needed is not available, the family vehicle decides to go wacky, two kids with two successive appointments, a spouse trying to take care of some business by phone and computer... then the bombshell of a relative problem that cropped up right in the middle of cooking supper...
Yep. It all happened to me today. And the relative mess, which is highly involved and complicated will not be discussed online, is not going to be easy to deal with...
I don't usually have negative sparkblogs. But I wanted to share this stuff because we had some stressed out family members in my house tonight. Our one bright spot was the 8 year olds musical/poetry showcase at his school, where we all forgot about everything for 30 minutes and just enjoyed. At home the Relative Mess came right back to haunt us all... UNTIL the 8 year old asked, "Can we pray the Rosary tonight?" I smile just thinking about it. Here is this amazing young man, who probably doesn't understand what is really going on, but somehow knows exactly what we all needed! Prayer & meditation!
The house feels calmer right now. I feel calmer. What did I learn today?
Sometimes positive attitude can't overcome the mountain. When that happens, that is exactly the moment for faith!
