Surprise for Mother's Day
Sunday, May 09, 2010
I had expected to spend a quiet Mother's Day at home. Our son lives in D.C. and we live in the Midwest. Our daughter lives 2 hours a way, but is in her last week of law school and in a conversation last night, said, "Oh, Happy Mother's Day." This am DH says lets go to a brunch at a local place and it it was full, we could go to local grocery story cafe. So I take a shower and am walking down the hall to our bedroom to get dressed and I hear the backdoor to the house open and... the dogs don't go crazy. That means it's somebody they know. My darling daughter walks around the corner and says "Happy Mother's Day." It indeed, is.
I just got of the phone with our son whom we will see on Thursday and Friday at daughter's graduation. May is a glorious month and I am so happy right now!
