REMEMBER THAT AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY YOU WILL WEIGH IN DIFFERENTLY. emoticon ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRINKING YOUR WATER EVERYDAY. ALSO I HAVE TO WATCH MY SODIUM COUNT. I REALLY WATCHED IT THIS WEEK AND I WAS DOWN DURING MY WEIGH IN. YOU CAN DO THIS . I AM REALLY PROUD OF YOU FOR BEING DOWN TWO POUNDS.!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

The scale has become my best friend and my worst enemy. Its like I know if I get on it and that number is up I will get disappointed but I just can't help myself. I weigh myself about 4 or 5 times a day.

Weight goes up and down for all sorts of reasons, i.e. salt intake, muscle repair, even changes in the weather. It's alright to weigh every day as long as you realize that it is only the trends that you are looking for. It was suggested to me that eventhough I weigh every day, I only record it as it goes down so that the trend is more obvious. Thry that and see if it works for you.

Don't sweat it, Jodi! You may be retaining water--gaining muscle mass--etc. Do you track your nutrition to see how much sodium you're taking in? You may be surprised by the number, even if you don't salt your food, or eat anything "obviously" salty, like chips or pretzels. The nutrition tracker on SPARK is easy to use--and easy to customize. Meantime, as long as you're not knowingly doing anything to promote weight gain, you're in this for the long haul--not the day to day fluctuations. Cut yourself some slack!

If weighing yourself every day gets you down, do it once a week--same time of day, same scale, wearing the same clothes (or before you get dressed).
