I'll Start My Diet Monday

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

Many times I have said to myself I'll start my diet Monday. This was always the excuse I needed to pig out over the weekend. Mondays came and went, diets came and went but the Monday starting line remained the same. It almost happened again, I got a good idea from NANCYANNE55 to schedule an appointment with myself to workout. Since I did not start it on Monday I thought "oh well, I can just wait until next week to try that idea". How ridiculous is that! I have to laugh at myself sometimes. I realized that whenever I really wanted to make a change I don't wait for a magical day I just do it. What's the old saying "Don't put off ..... what you can do today?

MAIA1369 nailed it for me... because of over indulging on weekends, our tummies are ready for boatloads of food, which on magical mondays we are denying ourselves. I'm trying not to overload because I cannot stand that "starving", out of control feeling. Good luck.. you're on track!

I think that is why Mondays are so hard. Everybody's starving!

Seriously, you have the right idea here. This is a journey and when we fall down it is a lot easier to do damage control if we can start again at the next meal or the next day and forget about Monday or never. I tend to lose it a little on the weekends but I make sure that I get all my calories in on Monday and I drink tons of water. It helps me remind myself what I am trying to do here as well as flush out some of that sodium I am so fond of!

    Spark on! You've got this!

That old saying really holds true. We really do have to do things today. Otherwise, they seem to snowball out of proportion by the time we get to it - kinda like my filing.

    Have a great day!
