I had one of those ever so helpful light bulb moments today. Working out in the morning and getting it out of the way could really work for me. I feel like it takes much less energy for me to workout and get it off my to do list early in the day than to make up excuses all day long as to why I CANNOT possibly workout.
I took a nice long 45 minute walk this morning which gave me some great time to think! I love long walks - they really help me clear my head! Not only did I have the thought about excuses taking so much energy, a few other things became clear to me. I really, really do like working out. So it is not like I dread doing it and put it off and put it off. It is more like I need to allow myself permission to do something for myself before I get caught up in a day of doing everything else I need to do for everyone else. So today that is what I am doing for myself - granting myself permission to put myself and my workouts on the to do list! (Maybe even first:-))

    I exercise first thing in the morning. That way I don't spend all day coming up with excuses to skip it. It really is a great energy booster and sets the right mood for the rest of the day.
