Question for all you Army Wives out there!

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

I'm in search of flights for hubby.... he's coming home hopefully the 29th of this month from AIT... but I don't know how it works for the army... any advice would be appreciated! He tells me that we will be having to pay for his flight and then the army will reimburse us. I thought the army would have been doing this and not us. Is he correct?
Thanks,
Kris

Yeah...I'm in the Air Force, so it might be different. But I have a government travel card that I pay for everything on and it's in my name. Then I submit a travel voucher and they reimburse me - paying off my travel card and giving me whatever the balance is left for my per diem.

Yes he is correct...the Army usually reimburses way after the fact.... emoticon it's been a while for me...but my Son in Law who is in the Army just got back from school...and the money for the trip didn't show in his paycheck until at least 2months later...
