I remember playing that...

As a stay at home mom that home schools, rarely is a day uneventful. Of course, some days are more productive than others. This just so happens to be one that was a productive day. :)
I have caught up on all the laundry, had a full morning of homeschooling, my kitchen is clean, my son's room is now clean and decluttered once again (blink and you'll miss it, I'm sure), and dinner was coming off the stove at just the minute my husband walked in the door (and even better is that I am well within my calories for the day, and have room to play with, yay!). Gotta love it when things go according to plan.
My kids are cracking me up right now. My daughter moved my son's little table into his room, and they are playing restaurant. She's made up a menu and has set the table up, and she's taking his order. I can remember having so much fun when I was her age playing that with my sister.
This has given me great ideas in ways that we can incorporate this into her schoolwork through this week. We can make it into a nutrition lesson, a math lesson, and even a writing lesson. She'll love it. Plus, it's a great way to get her little brother to be able to participate. He loves doing his "schoolwork" with her.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to tackle my daughter's room. She has a new bedding set showing up on Thursday. She's so excited. It's very grown up and will look great with her yellow room.
So, we want to get it all together so all we have to do is make the bed. My mom already made her a curtain that it is going to go perfect with it. It's been up since we painted the room almost a year ago. We've just been waiting on the perfect bedding, and Kathryn has picked this set.
Now if I could just settle on what I want to do with my bedroom. Ugh. I just can't make up my mind. :)
