For the reasons already stated and also maybe a bit of this. Yard sale is a social gathering.. people come to your yard, mill around, perhaps chat a bit with you. It's been a long hard winter for most of us. Maybe its the letdown from all the 'fun' of the sale too.
So, you did a good thing.. Peter Walsh from the tv show on HGTV says that we need to de clutter the old stuff that is no longer meaningful or useful to us so we can make room for new things.... You did it!
And, you have money for more "FAAAABBBRRIICCCCC"!!!! 3918 days ago

You miss your stuff. That's OK. You get to keep the memories associated with the things, and someone else gets to enjoy the stuff.
This might help others avoid the yard sale blues in the futire: before the sale, take pictures of the items you're selling and record the memories for each item. A friend of mine couldn't bear to part with childhood things because they "held" all those memories of her childhood. She finally decided to photograph things and talk about the memories. Then she was able to consider getting rid of things. 3918 days ago

Give yourself a break. A yard sale means selling things that you valued over the years so you cannot block out the loss you might be experiencing. Money is not always the answer so mourn the loss that you feel with getting rid of the old so you can make room for all the new. 3918 days ago
