Happy Sparkiversary to me!

I just realized that I have been Sparking for a year now! This realization makes me VERY happy for a couple of reasons.
1. I have managed to commit to healthy change and I've stuck to it (relatively) faithfully for a whole year! This is huge progress for someone who tends to jump from one thing to another to another. No more excuses...I know this program works for me!
2. My attitude towards food and fitness has changed tremendously. Of course I still have bad days (and we all need a treat every now and again) but I am focused on my health the majority of the time.
3. I know that there is a wonderful community of people out there who can relate to me and my feelings about food and weight. Yay for you my Spark friends!! I feel so grateful to have your support and to be able to share this journey with you.
So, what else is going on?
Well, today I was measured and weighed to se how I'm doing with my pregnancy weight gain goals. The food tracker is my best friend these days. I can easily see when I'm going overboard on carbs or when I'm not getting enough nutrients like calcium or iron.
I'm happy to report that I'm pretty much on track! In a few weeks I'll be halfway through my pregnancy and to date I have gained 8 pounds. My doctor wants me to aim for somewhere between 15 and 20 pounds so I think I'm doing quite well!
The baby is super active...I can feel it doing acrobatics in my belly. It's a wonderfully reassuring feeling. I'm hoping that my hubby will soon be able to feel it doing backflips in my abdomen!
