Obedience

Friday, April 30, 2010

Did you know there is a plant called Physostegia. The common name for it though is the Obedient plant!!! It earned the nickname because you can move each of the tubular flowers individually and they stay where you place them.

Tomorrow is May!! A huge month for Mike and I. We are leaving our house of 19 years with the flower gardens I worked on for years...to a new house that doesn't even have grass yet!! Today I am dreaming up some landscaping and the Obedient plant was first on my list. I want it to be first on my list for the Lord as well. When He moves me where He wants me...am I willing to stay where He puts me? ..... YES!!!

Goals for May:

1) Attend two prospective churches

2) Hand my hummingbird feeder and plant some flowers to attract the hummers and hope I get at least a pair this year at our new place.

3) Increase my steps...I have yet to reach my lofty goal of 8000 a day...that is my personal challenge.

4) Increase my fruit and veggie intake.

5) I only missed 3 days of tracking in April, so my goal this month is a 100%

Enjoy your May!!

Obediende--easier said than done! But as I'm sure you're finding out--we reap the benefits from it. It's like the time when Jesus told his disciples to "Launch out into the deep" (Luke %:4). emoticon

WOW you're doing great with tracking...and with walking. I saw your house on facebook and it looks very nice but, yes, the yard is bare. What day do you move?
