Not much to report today...

Monday, April 26, 2010

Went to sleep really late last night (doing laundry) and couldn't fall asleep after that so I fell asleep while writing this morning after my workout.

Finished my article and did some more tile shopping--I'll be glad when all the fixtures and tiles, etc. for the new bathroom are ordered so they can just get started working. It's going to be 2 weeks of dust, noise and general chaos, which I'm not looking forward to. I'm trying to squeeze it in between my two upcoming work trips: Anguilla on May 6 and Chicago on June 22. Also going to Vancouver in July but the bathroom should be long finished by then.

I'm looking forward to these trips to try out my new philosophy of eating...the one thing that worries me is the hors d'oevres at cocktail parties because sometimes I just want to eat them out of curiousity to see how they taste, not out of hunger. I guess part of the trick will be leaving over half the meals. In regular situations, I could tell myself, "Hey, I'll wrap it up and enjoy it tomorrow for lunch!" but on a press trip, once I say goodbye to the meal, it's goodbye for good. That's going to be difficult. Guess it's as much fish and chicken as I can order--I don't have all that much taste for beef these days.

On the hors d'oevres just have 1 or 2 that you are curious to try and as long as you stick with the leaving half your plate untouched then you should be okay. It sounds like you have a lot going on with your bathroom and assignments, so don't forget to schedule in some me time!!!!

You couldn't fall asleep after the laundry?? Oh dear, did you have a stain you couldn't get out!! OMG, you should have called me!

You are doing a great job. You will manage while you are away because you will make sure you are in the right mindset of whether or not you "need" that whatever is in front of you.

I have total faith in you and am rooting for you every step of the way. BTW, your bathroom will be gorgeous!
