The scale

Thursday, April 22, 2010

I had to talk myself into getting on the scale this morning for my weigh in. I realize that this week I have been off of school and I haven't been eating the way I normally do when I'm confined by when my students are in the room and when I can get my hands on food. Alas, being home alone is hard because there are tons of tasty temptations all over this house. Also, we've been eating "quick & dirty" meals because I've been out getting wedding stuff done and my fiance started golf this week, so there's been a lot going on. All of this to say that my weight didn't change from last week. I didn't gain any weight, but I didn't go down, either. There are some things that have changed, though. My jeans feel looser around the waist and I tried on (and bought) a really cute dress for my bridal shower that's a bit form fitting. I can see more definition in my face now, and doing the workouts doesn't make me want to roll over and die. I'm sure that when I'm back to my routine, I'll be losing because I'll still be working out and I'll be eating like normal. The only thing I need to figure out before the summer break is how to avoid the food temptations all summer long. Hmm... a thought to ponder. I'm in a good mood overall, though! At least I didn't gain!

yes, at least you didn't gain! Just keep that thought anytime you want to berate yourself for not doing your normal routine. And that way you can feel good enjoying your wedding cake!
