The Power of Community

When I read a blog several months ago about a woman doing 49 activities on her 49th birthday, I got to thinking about celebrating my 65th with s similar idea. I don't think I would have done it had I not only thought about it, but communicated to the Spark Community through blogs, posts and huddles. There were far too many people who knew what I had planned and they flooded me with birthday greetings. So I did it. Now, a 65 mile bike ride when the longest you've ever done is 22.5 miles is a little more challenging than I thought. However, I had set a goal, shared it and wanted to prove I could do it. I was more than a little tired today and glad that my yoga class had very few seated positions today. I think I have recovered except for the fact that my glutes feel as if I have two hardballs in the middle os them.
Thanks to all of the Spark community whose supported convinced me I could set a goal, meet it and celebrate it. Thanks.
