going to the dogs

Friday, April 16, 2010

My husband and I have 6 dogs. The dogs belong to my husband and sometimes I think he would trade me for another dog. I know that sounds strange but it's true. My point, It's hard to stay motivated when you know that the dogs will get more attention than the lbs I lose. I keep telling myself that what I do is for me and no one else and most of the time it works, but then there are those days. emoticon

I got a dog just for that reason--being ignored no matter what. Pick out your favorite dog and talk baby talk to it and carry-on over it and believe he will eventually notice that the dog is getting attention he isn't! My dog is my buddy and is always with me and I am not necessarily a dog person, but I wanted to rescue one and I got a "Honey" (her name!)And my husband is crazy about her too although she is a mommy's girl. emoticon

I do understand. For me it isn't dogs, I feel like I'm competing with my partner's job.

Just hang in there on those low days and know what you're accomplishing is wonderful for YOU, and you have a lot of Sparkfriends who are very proud of you! Those thoughts have gotten me through many a low spot.
