Gaining the energy to face the day

A light supper, a good night's sleep and a fine morning have often made a hero of the same man, who, by indigestion, a restless night and a rainy morning would have proved a coward.
- Lord Chesterfield, diplomat
We found out that getting up early even when we could sleep in, increases the mood tremendously. I don't usually go to bed until Craig gets home from late shift (around 12:30 am), but I try to make sure not to be sleep deprived. Also, getting up having a few glasses of water to drink gets me in the right mindset to start my day healthy. And doing some Sun Salutations (taken from Yoga) also makes a huge difference. It wakes up the body and makes me feel like I can do anything.
