So upset... up 6# since Jan :(

Monday, April 12, 2010

So I went to the nutritionist for a follow up appt today. I have been seeing her since Jan for stomach problems and fatigue. Not only have I spent $100s on visits and supplements, I am not better AND I've gained...6 lbs!!!! WTF?! She thinks it's from all the stress from my unstable job situation and having to transfer next week (at least I don't have to move!) and she also thinks my thyroid may be underactive. All of the thyroid tests I've EVER had say I'm normal but I have a family hx and she wants to eventually try me on supps to support the thyroid (once the stomach situation is under control) bc she says the blood work doesn't always show the full picture. I am stressing even more bc we leave for St. Thomas in 6 weeks. While I am so grateful for that fact, and SO looking forward to it, I am terrified of being in a bikini when I am gaining instead of losing. While I had been off track for awhile eating more carbs than usual from stress...I was still consistently working out 5d/wk, I am back on track as far as my eating and doing better w/ less carbs (40/40/20ish)..I can honestly say I have never gained that much that quickly. And no I'm not ;) I really hope I can get his under wraps!!

UPDATE: since I stopped taking one of my stomach supps and switched to another...I have lost several #...I think it may have been water wt?
