Me + Exercise = A Winning Combination!!!

In the past I have absolutely NOT been a fan of exercise. I had done the yo-yo dieting thing and put in token efforts at walking. But it was always with a short term loss and the pounds came back with many of their close friends.
For some reason I feel very different about what I am doing now. I loath the thought of putting in an exercise dvd or being in an aerobics class but I have fallen in love with using cardio equipment!!
If the kids are driving me crazy I can pop in my headphones and work out. If I am feeling stressed and life is out of control...I can jump on the treadmill or the elliptical machine and sweat the stress away.
So when I came home I bought an elliptical machine and I have been using it everyday. My mom has a stationary bike at her house in storage that I am waiting for her to get out for me so I will be able to rotate between the stationary bike, the elliptical, and the treadmill for my workouts.
This week I had an amazing 5 pound loss and I give the credit to having a more effective workout. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with things and working towards making a permanent change in my lifestyle. I have embraced the concept of eating healthier and exercising and look forward to seeing a new me emerge bit by bit!!!
I had been frustrated because I was only loosing a 1/2 pound - 1 pound per week. I was having to work out for 90 minutes on the treadmill to burn the calories that SP says that a 45 minute cardio workout should be burning. Then I tried an elliptical workout and a stationary bike workout while I was on vacation and a whole new experience has been opened my eyes to my options.
