Good morning fellow sparkles,
It has been raining all Friday,
and I was glad to get home from work.
Earlier Friday evening, I spent an hour on my wii fit with yoga,
balance, strength and games and burned 492 calories according to my heart rate monitor!
Then, I gave myself some quiet time in my chair, with my mini netbook (love those little laptops - they are so lightweight so they don't kill my back), my cat,
and the tv on in the background watching "what not to wear".
Then my son came down around 11 p.m. and invited me to a game of Wii Rock Band. I gladly put my stuff away, grabbed the microphone, another bottle of water, and my dancing shoes.
I get to sing all the latest rock songs, and not so latest ones as well. Belting out "Psycho killer" and "Lump" was a blast. My son thinks I kill the latest songs, and he doesn't think he can ever listen to them again the same way. We rocked for about an hour. I sing, and I dance, while he rocks the drums. So I logged about a mile and a half on my pedometer that way, but I did not have my heart rate monitor on.
I really am amazed how much of a workout I get that way. On what was supposed to be more of a rest day, I fit in 2 hours of fun fitness, and close to two miles between the dancing around, and walking at work.
