Three weeks and just completing my "Getting Started" checklist

Sometimes I have trouble with commitment.

I decided today though that if I have stuck with this for three weeks, I am going to stick with it for the results I desire, and it was time to make my SparkPage and finish off the checklist. Three weeks to finish the checklist...I may have an issue with procrastination as well.

I have logged in to SparkPeople every day, and have been using the Nutrition and the Fitness Trackers. I have read several great articles and have played trivia every day. Some of those questions are tough!!! I love the recipe section, and have tried a couple of wonderful recipes. I haven't ventured into the groups, but that is next. I am committed to being healthier than I have been in a very long time, and I believe I can get there with SparkPeople. I know there are tough challenges ahead but I am committed to seeing this change through.

    I just want to encourage you. Just do the best you can. It's not about perfection. I do "FlyLady" for cleaning my home. She says to start with a shiny sink and keep it clean every morning and the last thing before going to bed. Then she encourages you to do the swish & swipe for the bathroom and making your bed every morning. She builds a habit in you, and then expands on it. She also has a website & if you are on FaceBook, she has one there too. So my point in letting you know this is, that losing weight and getting started with Sparkpeople is basically the same thing. I too, have had some issues with being physically active but I just won't give up but do the best I can. You are right in saying that you won't lose weight once you get past a certain point. Everytime I go to workout with Martha, she mixes up my routine. If I do weights at the "Y" on certain days, the when I go to her at Fundamental Fitness then I do something entirely different. She says that to lose weight it is really important to do aerobics. May I suggest "Walk Away the Pounds" with Leslie Sansone? They have a couple of teams here where you can do her DVDs/videos at home. They will get your blood pumping for sure. As for me, I really wanted to lift some weights and I am hoping to learn to run. So don't give up and hang in there. Remember, it's not about perfection, whatever you do to help yourself is a blessing to your body!
