Slightly Frustrated

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

I have gotten myself together and except for Easter Sunday, have stayed in calorie range. I have walked every day for 5 days. I thought the scale would move just a little....it usually does by now. especially since this behavior is a LOT better than it has been for a while. Guess I will just keep trying and be patient. I know I am being a little ridiculous, but I like to see the results.

You're not ridiculous. We all love to see the scale on it's downward journey.

Some days it is harder to stay on track because we want instant gratification.

Stay with your chosen program. You will see success!!

No, you're not being ridiculous, it's frustrating when you work hard and don't see any results. The results will happen. Maybe you just need to make some minor changes like, not only eating within calorie range, but maybe eating better quality foods, or walking a little faster or adding five or ten minutes to your walk. You'll figure it out and you will see in the end it will all be worth it.

I think that by now our metabolism has slowed to about zilch! Even eating at the low end of my range & running 5 miles 3 times a week I still can only lose one pound a week. But every pound helps so hang in there...it's a journey, not a destination!

Keep in mind that hopefully you are on a lifestyle program and the benefits will only partially show on the scales. Don't let them rule your life and yet do check on your weight for accountability.

    Keep on course.

Hang in there...maybe it's time for a change in your routine! I can relate...I've been stuck for a long time. We can do this!!
