being accountable to myself

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

I went for another 40 minute walk this morning, and I feel great. The computer doesn't know that I am pushing a double jogger with a 4 year old, and a 20 pound baby in it. I wonder how many more calories I am actually burning? I guess burning more than the computer calculates is better than burning less!
Today, I started to track my food intake as well. Yes, there is a gingerbread cookie in there. I figure that if I see the garbage I eat on the screen in front of me, I will be less likely to eat more of whatever goodies I have made that day. One cookie won't kill weight loss, but 2 or more definitely will. I am accountable to myself. I am the only one that can change me for the better. My transformation will take discipline, and a series of good choices, followed by more good choices.
