Garage Nearly Kills Fat Chick

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Oy - cleaning the garage yesterday has taken it's toll - I was just exhausted today. But we have a HUGE pile of stuff for Got Junk to take tomorrow - YAY!

Feels good to get rid of this stuff - can't wait to get rid of MORE.

Nothing like extruding the extra stuff to make a person feel better! I hope you logged in the cardio!

I've been helping a King Pack Rat deal with stuff. Dozens of boxes of mostly old clothing have been showing up at my house for the last few weeks. Round 2 of sort & purge occured Sunday. I SOOOOO sympathize with you. Really - do you think he needed to keep his first wife's maternity clothes when from when his almost 40 yr old son was born? Stuff going to charity (that's still even wearable) & I'm sure it we put it all in a dumpster at once we've more then filled 2 - yet there is more to go.
I personally recorded it all on my fitness tracker as hiking with a load - afterall I live on in a second story apartment.

Your blog post is too funny.

My garage nearly killed me a few weeks ago. It's starting to look pretty sweet now, though.
Now, I just have to work on the back porch and the basement. The areas that were too cold to use over the winter became "storage" (i.e. big piles of mess) areas over the winter. Oof.

Don't you feel lighter already? When my neighbor had some extra room in his pickup for a dump run, I got to throw in some stuff from my garage and I was smiling all day!

For a TRUE workout--mental, physical, and emotional--try cleaning the garage and then having a garage sale! Nothing gets the heart pumping faster than having some harpy trying to get the price of whatever treasure you've held onto for a quarter of a century down to a quarter.

RoobyBegonia, you crack me up. Love your SparkName and loved your Blog Post Title. Glad to hear you had such great success in the garage. Give yourself a big pat on the back. And, hey, I have a "spare room" that could use your loving touch. :-) Thanks for bringing a smile to my face today!!! Best wishes! emoticon
