No stopping me now

This journey has been so interesting. Wishing that I would be fit already sounds silly to me. I am thoroughly enjoying my journey, and in this I get experience, i get wiser, and I am getting fitter. I know the times where the scale wouldn't move it wasn't because I wasn't trying, most of the time it was because i had a mental plateau. Any time I have applied effort in losing weight, it comes off.
I am just a few lbs away from getting to losing 50% of the weight I want to lose. I don't look at it as, oh great I have to do what I just did. Actually I think Oh great i get to do what I just did. Once I got my focus (and I will tell you what my focus is in a minute), the weight has come off effortlessly. Now I am not talking that I didn't eat right or exercise because believe you me, I watch what I eat, and I definitely exercise. My focus comes from Psalms 103.5 "He satisfies my mouth so that my youth is renewed like the eagles". Nothing on this earth can satisfy me like my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He satisfies my whole being. I have focused on Him completely. I have focused on His Word completely. If you are having trouble, look to Christ, He will be your weight loss. What I mean by that is, He will not be your weight loss partner, but He will be your weight loss. He said "Come to me all you who are heavy burden, and I will GIVE you rest" He takes any burden, and gives us rest. Yes, we do need to do our part by eating right and exercise, but when you put Jesus as your main focus....watch out, because you WILL lose weight and not even try. We have to cooperate, and we have to surrender ourselves to Him. He did create us, so therefore, He knows what we need to lose weight. Look to Him, and not in yourself, and you will obtain your health goals. Remember Psalms 103.5 HE SATISFIES YOUR MOUTH WITH GOOD THINGS SO THAT YOUR YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE EAGLES!! Say it, put it whereever you need to read it (on your dashboard, on your bathroom mirror, on your fridge,etc.), meditate on it all the time. When and if temptation comes look at it and say " No thank you... I AM SATISFIED"!!!

    Amen - so well said!! I have a few key verses that I look too also (thank you for sharing yours as I can add this to my list - thank you Lord for your amazing word!!!)

    Phil. 4:18 - Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

    i have a slightly differant outlook as i believe god and not jesus is our maker.i believe in jesus being a prophet and great person who deserves our admiration and respact.but i am really glad he is helping you to loose your weight.i am really proud of what you have achieved so far and i know you will achieve the rest.keep up the good work my friend emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
