Long day...take 2

Thursday, April 01, 2010

I thought yesterday was long... last night my 2 yr woke up screaming (he never wakes up so that was a shocker) and he kept pulling at him ear & crying. I tried my best to calm him & finally after 4 hrs I got him back to sleep soundly in his room. So my day started out with me being tired & needing to get my son checked out. We then went to the Chiropractor got him adjusted & his lymph nodes massaged to help them drain (something my son didn't care for at the time) but once he was done he seemed much better & never complained the rest of the day that his ear hurt.

So after that we had just enough time to come home eat lunch do my daughter's hair & get her to preschool. While she was at school my son & I went for our usual 2 hr walk, but about half way through I got a call asking me if I could work (and soon). One small problem...I walk on a paved trail & since I go for 2 hrs I get out a ways from the school, so there was no real way I could hurry back. Instead I finished my walk, picked my daughter up from school & had just enough time to change & wash my face before my sitter arrived & I had to leave for work.

4 hours later I finally got home for the night & got to eat dinner (and rest my VERY tired legs). After a day like that I am looking forward to the rain that is suppose to be coming our way. It means I will have a good excuse for staying inside & resting some. I already told work I wasn't available to fill in for the next two days & that if they called I wasn't answering! Ok so I will probably still answer the phone, but they better have a good excuse for calling me! Now I just have to finish entering all the stuff from the day & hopefully everyone will have a good night's sleep tonight (including me!)

I am impressed by your 2 hour walks! Way to go~ We had sunshine today and I was able to walk for 90 minutes up some steep hills but not daily. Good job! Glad your son is feeling better! Cheryl
