Who would've thought...boxing?

I took my first kick boxing class last night and boy oh boy -- it was nothing like I thought. I'm not too sure what I thought, since I was a little intimidated. (lol!) I never really considered boxing or kick boxing or Billy Blanks' dvds as a part of my workout. Weights are a part of my usual routine, but that's about it. So, I'm there gloves and all. Finally got the stance and the throws going right and left. Got the upper cuts and the hooks...the speed bag is a whole different story!

It was a blast! One full hour of straight boxing -- what?! I'm still hugging myself, because my poor arms are a little like jelly and they still need some love. (lol!) Feel likes circuit weight training. Yes, I was intimidated at first, but then it became fun after I got the used to it. I was surprised that it was a good overall workout. Arms, legs, back, shoulders, abs...needed it all to get through it.

I was glad when it was over, but at the same time I was thinking of when I could do it again!

    Glad you found something you like, it's always more fun it you enjoy doing it instead of being a chore. Good for you.
