My First Real Challenge

Well it's been just over a week since I started back full force with Sparkpeople. Things are going great. My weight is down. I'm exercising and eating right. However, up until now, I haven't had anything to knock me off my routine. Today is the day.

I took a much needed vacation day to spend some time with my best friend. We live about 70 miles apart and as most people, live busy lives so I am really looking forward to getting together.

We chose lunch at Ingredient which has great, healthy options so no problem there. Dressing on the side, please. We are following lunch with facials and then the challenge begins. Happy hour. Now let's be clear. I want to go to happy hour. I enjoy an occasional drink with the girls. I have been planning ahead for this. Two light beers, no additional carbs with it. I'm fully prepared to work that off. Carbs and alcohol are not a good mixture since the body tends to store the carbs while trying to get the alcohol from the system first. Beer and pizza. BAD COMBINATION.

This is the first test of my new binge-free life in a social situation. I can do this right? Of course I can.
