How Wierd Can It Be Getting Sick

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Last night we checked in to the Holiday Inn Express in Flagstaff, AZ. MY DW and I were a little tired, having spent two hours getting over the Boulder dam due to construction, but nothing unusual. I got to bed at a reasonably early time of 10:30.

I started having dreams of fighting and getting beat up. At 5:30 this AM, my bladder gave me a wake-up call. When I got out of bed, the beating I had taken in my dreams was still there. I hurt from my hair to my toenails.

I woke my DW up when I started looking for the Advil, and she decided I needed to have my temp taken. Up 3 degrees from normal.

I went back to sleep and sleep til 8:30, when my wife woke me up to eat breakfast.

At nine, I went back to sleep and slept until 12:30. Yep, it was lunchtime. Fever check was down a degree and some of the achiness was gone. 2 more Advil and I went back to sleep for another two hours.

This time I felt better still and was able to read for awhile, and my temp had dropped another degree.

My DW went out and got a Wendy's salad for dinner. Checked my temp again and it wa done another 1/2 degree - one more Advil.

I very seldom get any kind of flu, and this didn't have any other of the signs usually associated with a flu. No sore throat, no congestion, no runny eyes, none of that.

I guess I just ran into a bug carrying a big club.

I hope you feel better soon. It's particularly unpleasant to be sick when you're not at home.
