Talking to myself...like I would talk to a friend

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Rather a new thing for me. I always try to be supportive and positive toward others, but I often think negative thoughts and pass judgment on myself.

Lately, I have been changing that self-talk! I made it all the way to medical school, at my age, and went through a divorce, and some other stuff, and I'll be darned if it doesn't look I am going to graduate!

So, I have started telling myself, "I know I can lose weight and have a healthy lifestyle because I have achieved large goals in the past." "I know I can do it, because look at what I have done."

What's funny is that as I write this I am embarrassed about being so boastful...
