getting exercise

Monday, March 29, 2010

The weather is miserable today and I don't much feel like getting out in the rain. Maybe once I get showered and actually get my day started things will go better, getting that first cup of coffee into me and, oh I know, quit thinking negative thoughts. Now that's a good idea. I know that I can do this. I must get going!!!

I know how you feel... but luckily, my Mom has a treadmill that I use occasionally and I go to the gym when possible so the weather outdoors doesnt affect my ability to get the exercise I need. And working out first thing in the morning gets it over & done with.

When I don't feel like exercising or in the middle of exercise when I want to give up, I think of an activity that I want to do. (My favorite activities are playing the piano, crafts, reading and cooking.)

Then, I tell myself that once I get done with my exercise or complete my goal number of repetitions, that I will take 30 minutes out and do an activity that I like.

    Hope this helps!
